Pactura Cookie Policy

How Pactura uses cookies and similar technologies on its website, including contact form hosting and security technologies.

1. About this policy

This cookie policy explains how Pactura uses cookies and similar technologies on its website.

It should be read with Pactura's privacy policy, which explains how Pactura handles personal data more generally.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small files placed on a device when someone visits a website. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and server logs.

Some cookies and similar technologies are necessary for a website to work. Others are used for analytics, preferences, advertising, embedded content or marketing, and these usually require consent before they are used.

3. The cookies and technologies Pactura uses

Pactura's current website is a simple public website. Visitors can read it and use it to contact Pactura. It is built to keep data collection to a minimum.

The website uses only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies: those required to host the site, keep it secure and receive contact form submissions. It does not use analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

Contact form submissions are handled through Netlify Forms, filtered for spam using Akismet, and sent to Pactura's inbox. Akismet is used for spam prevention and security, not for advertising or behavioural tracking. Pactura then uses the information submitted to respond to the enquiry and manage business contact records, as explained in the privacy policy.

4. What Pactura's current website does not use

Pactura's current website does not use:

  • Google Analytics or other website analytics cookies;
  • advertising cookies or marketing pixels;
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel, HubSpot tracking or similar tracking tools;
  • behavioural profiling cookies;
  • embedded maps or videos that set third-party cookies;
  • reCAPTCHA on the contact form;
  • remote Google Fonts calls.
Website hosting and securityUsed to deliver the website, keep it available and protect it from misuse. Category: strictly necessary.
Netlify FormsUsed to receive and route contact form submissions to Pactura. Category: strictly necessary for the contact form.
Akismet spam filteringUsed to filter contact form submissions for spam and abuse. Category: security and spam prevention.
reCAPTCHANot used on the current website.
Analytics cookiesNot used on the current website.
Advertising or behavioural tracking cookiesNot used on the current website.
Remote font cookies or requestsNot used on the current website.
Embedded third-party media cookiesNot used on the current website.

Because the website uses only strictly necessary cookies and technologies, the current website does not use a cookie consent banner. Pactura still sets out its cookie position clearly in this policy so that visitors know what is, and is not, used.

If Pactura adds non-essential cookies or similar technologies in future, Pactura will update this policy and use an appropriate consent mechanism where consent is required.

7. Managing cookies

Visitors can usually manage or block cookies through their browser settings. Browser controls differ by provider, but they normally allow users to delete cookies, block some cookies, or block all cookies.

Blocking strictly necessary technologies may affect how a website works, including whether forms submit correctly.

8. Changes to this policy

Pactura may update this policy if the website or the technologies it uses change. The latest version should be published on Pactura's website.

Questions about this policy should be sent to info@pactura.co.uk.
